postheadericon Balboa, California

Our final day in California Dana and I spent the day on the Balboa Peninsula.  You might recognize it from the TV show The O.C.  which is about a teen ending up in the midst of  the wealthy, upper-class neighborhood of Newport Beach, Orange County, California.  Anyway, we made a day trip there and spent the day riding bikes down the boardwalk stopping to take in the sun and snap some photos.  This photo is of the Dory Fleet which is a permanent local historic landmark!  It is a a fresh seafood market that sits right in front of the Newport Pier.  Next time I’m there I think it would be worth it to get there early and watch the Fleet return with their catches!   Doesn’t that sound fun!!?
