postheadericon Anclote Key and The Sandbar

Anclote Island Florida

One of my favorite things to do is to share my childhood memories with my own children and when we were visiting Orlando, Florida last month I made sure to schedule a beach day boat day to show them what I grew up doing!

Growing up on the Gulf Coast was awesome.  There is so much to do in Florida and one thing that I absolutely loved doing was boating out to Anclote Island and the Sandbar.  As a kid we used to spend our days fishing and swimming and then we would tent camp right on the island!  It was totally primative, but so much fun and it gave me such wonderful memories!
