For the second part of our Florida trip last week we turned in our beach bags and headed over to one of the Top 100 Golf Resorts according to Conde Nast Traveler Magazine: Saddlebrook Resort-Tampa! We had a family function to attend and I am so so happy that we found this amazing gem of a resort which is the home of two 18-hole Arnold Palmer Signature golf courses, Tennis Programs, a half-million gallon Superpool, European Style Spa, award winning restaurants, and much much more.

It’s gorgeous grounds are beautifully landscaped and you really have no other choice but to feel completely relaxed! If you’ve been to Florida before you know that it’s a little crowded and a little fast paced, but at Saddlebrook you will feel like you’re stepping away from all of that hustle and bustle into the luxuries of rest and relaxation!

When we first arrived at the resort we were greeted by the friendly valet staff and they loaded all of our belongings into a golf cart and drove us to our room. Saddlebrook features a unique Walking Village layout which means that you travel around the resort by way of golf cart or walking and when you need to go somewhere you can either call to be picked up or walk to the front and they will get your car! I definitely got used to that special treatment! Again, it is the perfect way to make you feel like you are on vacation!!

Take a look at this lobby!

We got room 220 which had a great view of the Superpool! Look at how spacious and well appointed these rooms are, my gosh~~I think I could have moved in! And those pillows…they were heavenly…I think the most comfortable pillows I’ve ever slept on…ever.

The pool is incredible and I think we could have easily just spent all of our time there. There is a basketball hoop, volleyball net, and a refreshment bar with snacks/food and Ben and Jerrys Ice Cream. Yum!

Saturday night was Dive-In night at the pool and Transformers was showing on the big screen. We lounged on the pool chairs while other guests floated in tubes to watch the movie. Popcorn and refreshments were provided 🙂

Obviously golf and tennis are huge at the resort. In fact, they are a world-reowned professional training center in both, but you don’t have to be a golfer or a tennis player to enjoy it! I loved the activities schedule which included something for everyone! Some of the complimentary activities that were going on while we were there included Intro to Fitness, Family Craft Hour, Pool Games, Zumba, Dive-In Movie Night, and Wine Tasting with Flight of Cheeses and a Children’s Social!

The other great thing about the resort is the location. It’s within an hour to Busch Gardens, Adventure Island, Lowry Park Zoo, The Clearwater Marine Aquarium, The Florida Aquarium, Buccaneer Bay, and the beautiful Gulf Beaches. Orlando Theme Parks are about an hour and a half away!

It is actually in the back of a gated residential neighborhood so you are far away enough from all of the commotion, but just minutes to the interstate to get you whereever you want to go!

So whether you are on a short vacation, long vacation, part of a business group, or planning an event…definitely check out Saddlebrook Resort~Tampa: http://www.saddlebrook.com/index.html!

Location: 1 mile East of I-75 at exit 279, 30 miles north of Tampa International Airport
