Did you know that the Valley Isle has more miles of swimmable beach than any other Hawaiian Island?  That is probably why it is so difficult to narrow down a list of must-do places to snorkel because there are just so many great spots!  With average year round temperatures of 75-85-degrees and beautiful blue water, Maui has become a location that produces world class surfing, windsurfing, diving, and snorkeling beaches!  If you want to see beautiful tropical fish and sea turtles here are 4 places that we recommend for snorkeling in Maui!

The Molokini Crater is in the top 100 dive sites in the world, but recently some have said that there is not much there and the coral is dying off.  On our recent trip I didn’t find this to be true at all.  We saw a huge array of fish and coral that looked so beautiful that it almost looked unreal.  We swam with schools of fish, saw tons of sea urchins and colorful coral, and lurking below a big formation we even saw a reef shark!  Due to the island’s unique crescent shape, it’s largely sheltered from the dangerous ocean currents, making it the ideal place to check out a variety of cool underwater life

postheadericon Aqua Adventure~Maui’s Best Molokini Crater Snorkel and SNUBA Company

From the moment we booked our Maui vacation I knew that if there was nothing else we did on the island, I wanted to try SNUBA for the first time and visit the Molokini Crater!  The crater is a partially submerged volcanic crater that is a popular spot for scuba diving, snorkeling, and SNUBA.  The water visibility is amazing, you can see depths as deep as 150 feet!  It is also a Hawaii State Seabird Sanctuary which is totally awesome! 

We are slowly checking snorkel sites off of our bucket list and this one became reality last week thanks big thanks to Aqua Adventure!  After looking into several different outfitters and reading tons of reviews we decided on Aqua Adventure because we prefer small groups where we can really get to know the everyone and because we love doing business with family owned and operated businesses.  As business owners ourselves, we know the importance of building relationships and making sure people are satisfied!
